Elders Council & Leadership

Governance Structure

Earth Connection Community is guided by an Elders Council of ordained curanderos who hold ultimate spiritual and organizational authority.

The Elders Council:

  • Sets doctrine and spiritual direction
  • Approves organizational budgets
  • Ordains and oversees certified ceremony facilitators
  • Appoints committees for specific initiatives
  • Reviews and upholds the Code of Ethics

Leadership Roles

Our community recognizes several tiers of spiritual leadership, each with distinct training requirements and responsibilities:

Ordained Facilitators (Ministers)

Ordained facilitators have completed a rigorous two-year apprenticeship under the guidance of the Elders Council. They are authorized to lead all ceremonies, mentor trainees, and represent the community in spiritual matters.

2-year apprenticeship

Commissioned Facilitators

Commissioned facilitators follow a one-year path of study and supervised practice. They assist in ceremonies and community programs under the oversight of ordained facilitators.

1-year path

Ceremonial Support Staff & Trainees

Support staff and trainees serve essential roles in ceremony preparation, participant care, and logistical coordination. Their service is both a contribution to the community and a foundational step in their own spiritual development.

Officers

Earth Connection Community Corp. is governed by a Board of Directors that includes a President, Secretary, and Resident Agent. All officers serve indefinitely and are accountable to the Elders Council and the community.
