Commitment to Accountability
Earth Connection Community believes that transparency is inseparable from integrity. As a tax-exempt religious organization, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of governance, financial stewardship, and ethical conduct. We make our policies, legal status, and organizational structure available to our members and the public so that trust is earned through openness, not assumed by authority.
Governance Policies
The following policies are adopted by the Board of Directors and apply to all officers, facilitators, and members:
Conflict of Interest
Officers and leaders must disclose and recuse themselves from any decisions involving personal financial interest.
Compensation
All compensation is reviewed for reasonableness and approved by disinterested board members.
No Political Activity
The organization does not participate in or intervene in any political campaign for or against any candidate for public office.
No Lobbying
No substantial part of the organization's activities consists of attempting to influence legislation.
Dissolution Clause
Upon dissolution, all assets are distributed to one or more exempt purposes or to the government for a public purpose.
Contracting Policy
Contracts are awarded based on merit and organizational need, with appropriate oversight and documentation.

Tax-Exempt Status
Earth Connection Community Corp. is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization is classified as a public charity — church under IRC 170(b)(1)(A)(i).
Our determination letter confirms that contributions to Earth Connection Community Corp. are deductible under Section 170 of the Code, that the organization is qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts under Sections 2055, 2106, or 2522 of the Code, and that the organization is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(a) of the Code.
As a church, Earth Connection Community Corp. is not required to file Form 990 annual information returns with the IRS. Nevertheless, we maintain thorough financial records and make governance information available to our members and the public in the spirit of full transparency.
