Traditional Ceremonial Practices
Monthly sacred ceremonies rooted in the Shipibo-Konibo tradition, honoring master plants as divine teachers.
Sacred Ceremony
Ceremony is the heart of our spiritual community. Each month, our community gathers at our dedicated retreat property for an overnight sacred ceremony led by ordained facilitators. These ceremonies follow the ancient protocols of the Shipibo-Konibo tradition of the Peruvian Amazon — a lineage of plant medicine and spiritual healing that stretches back thousands of years.
Ayahuasca, our central sacrament, is prepared and administered in accordance with traditional Shipibo practice. We honor it as a divine teacher — a living intelligence that facilitates direct communion with Spirit, illuminates hidden truths, and supports deep spiritual healing.
What to Expect
Pre-Ceremony Preparation
Participants follow a dieta (dietary restriction period) in the days before ceremony. Detailed preparation guidelines are provided upon acceptance into a ceremony.
Arrival & Orientation
Participants arrive at our retreat property in the afternoon. Facilitators provide an orientation covering the ceremony protocol, safety information, and intentions.
Sacred Ceremony
The ceremony takes place overnight in our ceremonial lodge. Facilitators sing traditional icaros (sacred songs), hold space, and attend to participants throughout the night.
Integration
The morning after ceremony includes a sharing circle for integration. Ongoing integration support is available through our community programs.
Participation Requirements
Ceremony participation is open to active members of Earth Connection Community who have affirmed sincere spiritual purpose. All prospective participants complete an intake screening to assess spiritual alignment and reduce contraindication risk. This is a spiritual process, not a medical clearance.
